Hi, I'm Dali Islam

For over 20 years I've built and scaled identity programs at Fortune 500 companies, and the lesson has stayed the same throughout my career: security done right doesn't slow the business down—it enables it.

That belief has guided me from Allegiant, where I built an Identity & Access Management (IAM) program from the ground up into a 100-person organization, to NetJets, where I transformed customer identity into a strategic business advantage. Today, as Global Head of Enterprise Identity & Security at Tenet Health, I lead identity strategy for more than 225,000 users and over 8.5 million patient identities across 1,000+ healthcare facilities, ensuring secure, seamless access while protecting critical patient data.

About Me

A bit about
who I am

For over 20 years I've built and scaled identity programs at Fortune 500 companies, and the lesson has stayed the same the whole way through: security done right doesn't slow the business down, it enables it.

That belief has followed me from Allegiant, where I built an IAM program from nothing into a 100 person team, to NetJets, where I modernized customer identity into a real business advantage instead of a risk line item, to where I am today: Global Head of Enterprise Identity & Security at Tenet Health, leading identity for 225,000+ users and 8.5 million+ patient identities across 1,000+ facilities. In healthcare, that work has one job. Protect patient data while making sure clinicians and staff get the access they need, when they need it, without friction getting in the way of care.

What's changing now is the identity function itself. We're no longer just managing workforce identities. We're managing non-human identities, machine to machine access, and AI agents operating with real privileges at real scale. Automation isn't optional anymore. It's the only way to manage identity at machine speed while keeping control, visibility, and auditability intact, which is why building governance for agentic AI identity has become as central to my work as governing people.

I specialize in Identity and Access Management (IAM), Customer Identity (CIAM), Privileged Access (PAM), Identity Governance (IGA), Zero Trust architecture, and cloud first transformation, with deep experience across healthcare, aviation, and financial services. If you're modernizing identity, scaling governance, or preparing for AI driven access models, I'm always open to connecting and exchanging ideas.

Leadership Philosophy

North Stars

The principles I build every identity program on.

"Right people, right access, right time, right reason."

A mantra without a relationship is just a rule.

"We treat every AI agent like a privileged identity, because that is exactly what it is."

"Developers across this enterprise should view the IAM team as an enabler, not a gatekeeper."

That is the standard I build to.

"The Identity program is only successful when it reduces organizational risk, lowers operating cost, and enables the business to move faster."
